This research starts from describing the incidence of interactions between fathers, mothers and children mediated by the game in the teaching-learning processes, through educational workshops around the game with the purpose of supporting the formative processes in the children of the Hogar Infantil Los Paticos, of the municipality of El Tarra, Norte de Santander. In turn, it is proposed to identify the level of family participation in the teaching and learning process and, at the same time, the development of children through play through workshops and surveys carried out as tools. Families are also made aware of the need to interact with and accompany learning processes in children through play, and eight educational workshops for families are designed to encourage interaction between parents and children. These workshops are mediated by play as a fundamental axis of socialization in childhoods. The research is descriptive with a qualitative approach whose participants are the families and children of the Children’s Home, whose analysis is based on the strategy of play as a method of teaching and learning. Finally, important aspects were highlighted regarding the characteristics of the mothers of the families surveyed, through the Play and Family survey, data were obtained on some theories and concepts that showed similarities between the relationship of a family circumstance and the consequences or problems reflected in the behaviour of the child.
