The difficulties that arise in psychomotor development in children in the first grade of the San Rafael educational institution, located in the municipality of Santa Isabel-Tolima, is manifested by the establishment by schedule of the physical education area. The lack of knowledge of the educator, in the way of teaching the class, the use of resources and the planning of strategies that develop abilities and skills in first grade students. To achieve optimal development of children in the areas of comprehensive development: personal, social, cognitive, body communicative and evaluative. This is how the need arises to create a pedagogical strategy that allows to implement an adequate psychomotor development in the children of the first grade of the San Rafael Educational Institution, headquarters of the municipality of Santa Isabel -Tolima. The type of research is a qualitative approach, Education and Culture, the object of study is to determine the conditions in which the physical education class is developed and the role of the teacher-researcher and the reflective participation of the teachers of the institution around the problem that arises. The results of the research will be given in organized contributions that represent the work and achievements of the teacher, since they allow to practice transformers at an educational cultural level, using qualitative approaches highlighting the presence of ethnography and ethnographic narratives. Qualitative research is descriptive, collects data and allows to explain the observed behavior and transmit enrichment to the given experiences. The application of instruments allows the collection of information through semi-structured surveys for teachers; along with participant-type action observation, with first grade children, physical education and sports class hours, games, circuits, collaborative work, competition, coordination, and the evaluative pedagogical activity called rubric by the researchers. Among those collected, the lack of interest of teachers, the poor use of spaces and poor information regarding development were recognized
