The objective of this document is to analyze the time series of the college education coverage rate of the Department of Casanare, under the methodology proposed by Box and Jenkins, which allows obtain a SARIMA model for the prediction of the behavior of this indicator in the short term. It is intended that with this forecast public opinion in general and government entities have reliable data regarding about the effectiveness of policies in terms of coverage of college education in the region and in this way have reliable evidence to assume critical positions. After adjusting various models, it was established that the one that best describes the behavior of this indicator is a SARIMA (1,1,0) × (0,1,1) 2. The results of the forecast for the period between 2019 and 2022 show that there is a growing trend but with fluctuations. It is expected that during this period of time the barrier of 30% coverage will be overcome, reaching 31.30% in 2022 with 80% confidence
