This proposal arose because in most of the schools of the Agro-environmental Educational Institution La Nueva Esperanza, most of the products consumed are brought from other parts of the territory, and these come with a high degree of agrochemicals, The initiative to strengthen the school tul was to improve the quality of the products that are eaten daily at El Ceral, the fifth grade students took ownership of this activity looking for food quality in the school restaurant, taking into account all these aspects, it was concluded to strengthen this garden with products from the region such as: corn, beans, onions, pumpkin, cider, arracacha, yucca, plantain among others, the students of this headquarters took the task of touring the territory together with the teachers, in search of the seeds that were in the different families of the surroundings and that they still conserved, the community members collaborated with this contribution of own seeds to the students looking at the agricultural motivation of these small ones, Once this collection activity was done, they proceeded to select and implement the sowing in the school, considering that as Indigenous communities the lunar phases must be taken into account to carry out this work, some elders of the indigenous reservation were consulted and thus put this work in motion. The planting of these products was carried out, looking at the need to contribute to a better food quality in the school pantry and satisfy the right to food to students, this activity required a lot of effort, but the intention of these students was to seek comprehensive solutions that would benefit the entire student population by building a tul in the headquarters, thus directly favoring the educational community, seeking autonomy and food sovereignty by implementing different strategies that are performed autonomously in the territory currently inhabited by these children. In conclusion, the project to strengthen food autonomy at the El Ceral branch of the Agro-environmental Educational Institution La Nueva Esperanza in Buenos Aires, Cauca, has had an effective impact by promoting food autonomy and agroecological culture in students, teachers and parents. Students gain practical knowledge about sustainable food production, improving their eating habits and their understanding of the importance of consuming local and healthy food. Teachers highlight the effectiveness of this pedagogical approach in the development of research skills. Parents support the initiatives and notice positive changes in their children's eating habits.
