The village of Pueblo Nuevo is an area of significant environmental importance for the municipality of Ocaña due to its rich flora and presence of fauna, unfortunately this area is threatened due to unsustainable and illegal productive activities, as well as the Lack of environmental awareness of the inhabitants. In search of solutions and alternatives proposes ecotourism as an environmental education tool to raise awareness both in the inhabitants as well as the visitors looking for the conservation of the environment and the development social, for what is carried out through the present project an investigation that allows the design of an environmental interpretation guide for the execution of ecotourism with purpose. A study was carried out by collecting and analyzing information that allowed the identification and selection of 2 local areas to apply the project, likewise a guide was designed environmental interpretation of each selected area and, finally, the project was socialized with residents and local actors to measure the acceptance of the project. With this project, an economic development alternative for the corregimiento was given following a conservation strategy. The population is very interested in carrying out this type of Projects.
