The present work describes and analyzes the activities carried out in the business and solidarity practice modality with the student Juan Esteban Cahueño Ramos of the civil engineering program of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia in agreement with the CSA Engineering LTDA laboratory. This guide for the preparation of geotechnical study reports is developed in accordance with the main INVIAS regulations of Colombia, compiling information on the tests carried out by the company CSA Ingeniería LTDA and establishing a detailed procedure for the studies carried out in the laboratory related to the soil mechanics as well as the extraction of samples through the SPT test to determine physical and mechanical properties of soils that allow, based on the results and the necessary knowledge of the specialist engineer, the final preparation of a geotechnical study report.
