In this report is the characterization of geological and geotechnical origin of the different areas of which the Port Society of Santa Marta is part, a count is also made of all the laboratory tests from the year 2007 that gave the basis to interpret and sectorize from a general perspective what type of subsoil is where one of the most important ports in Colombia is built. First, the respective demarcation of the container yard area is divided into sectors, then the crane area, then quays 5 and 5B, and finally the silos area. The aforementioned is denoted by colors and a plan view in the annexes in magnetic medium. The aforementioned was carried out with the aim of future constructive interventions, that is, with this research, analysis and sectorization, the stratigraphy of the terrain is provided, where possible bases of future structures that require a specific bearing capacity depending on the type of ground.
