This report is the result of the professional practice carried out in the practice center of La Vitrina farm (2021), property of the Universidad Cooperativa, in Villavicencio. Its intention is to establish a check guide of the technical and normative requirements demanded by the sanitary authority to obtain the certification in good livestock practices in La Vitrina farm. The purpose of this is to obtain governmental recognition of the livestock management and exploitation practices, and to achieve accreditation as a center of practices. For this purpose, a 6-month period was spent at La Vitrina farm, during which time the inventory and registration of cattle, characterization of the type of feed available on site, verification of existing medicines and supplies, and control of the entry of people and animals to the property were carried out. All these actions contribute to animal welfare. Based on the above, it is concluded that, despite the fact that the farm has the required documentation from ICA form 3-582, its completion by the operating personnel is incomplete, a situation that leads to the involvement of other people in its completion, causing discrepancies between the data. Therefore, it is suggested to manage parallel records of animal information, perform water analysis, and implement disinfection protocols for vehicles entering the farm.
