This research proposal aims to identify the influence of gender on the acceptance of homosexuality in Civil Engineering students in the 5th and 6th semesters of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia Villavicencio campus. According to the students, consider that homophobia still exists, on the university campus and is in turn generating rejection and intolerance for the LGBTI population, since they do not have the established sexual orientation, which is linked to the device. player they were born with. In general, for many it is not easy to conceive the idea of sexual practices that people of the same sex can have; taking into account that many of these rejections are due to the training received in homes, generally due to established social guidelines (Zambrano Guerrero, C; Hernández Pasichaná, P and Guerrero Montero, A. 2019). In accordance with the above, it is possible to identify whether age is a factor that influences or not the acceptance of homosexuality, since it can be seen that as time passes, specific changes have occurred for the homosexual population where in in some cases their rights are more respected and at the same time little by little they are taken into account as part of society.
