The well-being of the dentist and auxiliary personnel currently occupies a very important place, which is why the greater information obtained by conducting research on occupational health problems will have an important effect on the promotion and prevention of osteoarthritis diseases. -muscles and will guarantee a better quality of life for the dentist and in general for all health personnel. The importance of this work is that it aims to identify the factors and ergonomic postures in dental students of the cooperative university of Colombia Villavicencio campus during the year 2022. To measure the postures, a validated instrument was implemented consisting of 38 questions, of which from 1 to 18 and from 32 to 38 are multiple-choice questions on knowledge of ergonomics and postures in care, and the items of 19 to 31 measure the postures. For the process of measuring the postures, the researchers were previously calibrated. The results made it possible to identify that the majority of students, when they are working in the oral cavity, perform cervical twisting or flexion to improve vision, do not support the soles of their feet, do not support their arms and elbows on the rib cage (ribs). , nor do they support the seat back. In addition, the factors reported by students as conditioning factors for adopting inappropriate ergonomic postures in the clinics under study are lack of lighting, lack of warm-up before beginning clinical practice, and assuming appropriate positions, despite knowing them. In conclusion, it was observed that performing cervical twists or flexions to improve vision are the inadequate postures generally adopted by students from the clinics of the dental school of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Villavicencio campus.
