Thus, the present text described the coping strategies in women victims of armed conflict, stating that the main strategy to face the adversities of war is through social support, as well as affective and cognitive forms of adaptation as The positive evaluation of their situation or the acceptance and emotional discharge that helps them to project their experiences as leaders within their group; There are also maladaptive strategies linked to avoidance that impair the quality of life, leading the victim to behaviors such as psychoactive substance use, begging, suicide, depression or anxiety. Most strategies are linked to the social role of women as mothers or caregivers allowing them to cope with their vulnerability as victims and to restructure their life project.
