This research was carried out by reviewing the literature of various articles, books, web pages, magazines, case studies, about "the clinical manifestations present in horses with systemic response inflammatory syndrome", focusing on main topics such as clinical manifestations, etiologies, diagnoses, diagnostic tests, treatments, septic shock, endotoxemia in gastrointestinal conditions, abdominal syndrome. Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) is a pathophysiological response that usually develops after severe and acute aggressions, such as trauma, burns, infection or exposure to bacteria or their products. In SIRS, an unbalanced and generalized inflammatory reaction is produced throughout the body that causes an uncontrolled release of inflammatory mediators that can damage various tissues and organs and can cause multi-organ failure and result in death in the animal. Thanks to this research, the importance of the development of an endotoxemia in an equine and its consequences were determined, and other factors of the syndrome were determined, such as the pathophysiology, mechanisms that trigger the shock, such as the cells present, cytokines, endotoxins, among other mechanisms.
