In the country of Colombia and in the Department of Meta, the potential of the peasant markets is evidenced, where through these the peasants have contributed significantly so that the economy in terms of productive systems has lasted over time, this added to the agriculture, positions them in a place of small entrepreneurs who offer their highest quality products. This document demonstrates the participation of peasant markets in commerce and also their contribution to the economy of the country, where through the documentary research the main data that reaffirm the contribution of peasants are identified, added to the comparison with the background that he has and the results obtained. In order to achieve the understanding that peasant markets have to be taken into account, they want the country's economic growth to be constant. It is decisive to mention that the peasant markets have a great challenge and it is to position themselves in the market as an alternative to the traditional markets that today are the main competition for these markets, in this competition we find: supply market, fruvers, neighborhood stores and supermarket of small and large surfaces since these agents are the ones that distribute a large number of consumers.
