Revisión de literatura sobre el uso de asfalto flexible reciclado (RAP) como alternativa para la pavimentación de vías terciarias y el efecto económico en la construcción y mantenimiento de la vía.
The use of recycled asphalt pavement RAP to build and rehabilitate the road network of the Colombian territory is not so widely used, there is still some distrust regarding this method that emerged as an economic and environmental alternative to reduce costs, reduce the exploitation of natural deposits and minimize the amount of rubble that is taken to the quarries or dumps. Below is the state of the road network at the national and departmental level (department of Meta) according to the report of the National Institute of Roads [INVIAS] (2021) in the second half of 2021, in order to have an approach to the needs of its road network. Subsequently, he conceptualizes what RAP is and the norms that regulate it within the Colombian territory are mentioned, then research carried out by different authors is presented, describing various physical and mechanical characteristics and the behavior of the mixtures with additions of RAP in different dosages, the cost-benefit of this alternative is also compared. Finally, data on the use of the RAP that has been carried out in the city of Medellín-Colombia are shown, since it has been a pioneer in the use of this recycling technique. With this systematic analysis of the literature, it is intended to explore and verify if the use of recycled flexible asphalt (RAP) as an alternative for the paving of tertiary roads is really viable and if the economic effect in the construction and maintenance of the road is beneficial.
