The experiences with which the Colombian university suggests an internal differentiation because each university is in search of its own identity as an institution, because it has defined for itself the vision, the mission, the corporate principles and has built a project institutional educational. Likewise, many institutions have carried out internal work on aspects such as the curriculum, programs, teachers, students, and the administrative and financial component. The old demands of the ICFES with respect to the universities have turned on themselves due to the specific personality that the institutions must have. The hetero-assessment has been, to a great extent, replaced by the self-assessment. In this context, the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia is among the institutions with the least development in this field. His relative delay implies two main aspects: firstly, the possibility of using the experience of others to promote his own processes in the path of self-evaluation, and secondly, the signaling of paths that have been established in the differentiation that has occurred. . This means, for the same reason, a double effort, because the University must enter into permanent communication with the other institutions of its kind and, at the same time, work within it. Of all the themes that make up the set of self-assessment, there is one that is crucial because it is the center of the work as a University and without which it makes no sense. It is about students as subjects who are trained as professionals. Indeed, training in a profession is an activity that society has delegated to this type of knowledge organization.
