This study aims to collect and analyze data from the Caribbean region to measure the performance of Montería in the 2016-2020 period, through a literature review and the application of theoretical concepts that help explain the performance of the region. The method applied is mixed with a case study approach, with quantitative and qualitative analysis that describes the methodology applied in the performance of the management of the municipality of Montería seeking to respond to the problems raised in the investigation. Of which it is considered necessary to support and evaluate the management of the municipality resulting from the measurement of the performance of the municipality (MDM) to know the implementation of its development plans and the efficiency according to the indicators proposed by the MDM. Thus, when doing the analysis, the effects of the economic activity of the Caribbean region can be evaluated, in which it addresses issues related to the study of the environment of the municipality of Montería, allowing a concise perspective on the efficient management of financial resources.
