The present work is presented under the interest of performing a systematic documentary review of narrative cut that seeks to understand the phenomenon of violence in couples and its conceptual and procedural dimensions for their study and understanding in the light of scientific literature and psychological sight. In order to carry out the study, its central objective was to carry out a systematic review of the narrative section of the following categories: what is partner violence?, Which are the types and modes of partner violence?, in order to formalize a conceptual synthesis of the phenomenon of partner violence, from multiple sources and formalize a body of ideas about the object of study for to discover possible questions through the documentary procedure. For what it was proposed to gather information from different authors related to partner violence and to elaborate a critical and reflexive discussion about the categories of study their dimensions and their theoretical applications to the phenomenon of partner violence for later studies. As a result, a bibliographic search was carried out. Articles with a date of the last 7 years of publication were included. (From 2010 to 2017) taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria: Descriptive and experimental studies were considered that provided a response to the problem of revision and proposed objectives, including the key words: gender violence, partner violence, types of violence, the Methodology based on the method of systematic documentary revision of narrative cut, looking for to be of descriptive type, based on sources of information, primary, secondary and tertiary, framed in a type of documentary retrospective research. Search in the bases of Scielos, Virtual Health Library, redalyc. Dialnet elservier, scientific journals, Virtual Health Library, redalyc. Empirical studies were considered between the years 2010 and 2017. A selection of 50 articles. The results of the research have shown that the partner violence is 6 especially against women in most cases because of their expartners. Besides, exists many violence cathegories: Psychological, Phisical, Sexual, Economic, Patrimonial. Therefore, the Violence of Couple can take several forms, which allows classification and classification as a crime and violation of rights, according to the representation in which it is framed in most countries. The results found have shown that most countries are prioritizing attention to the phenomenon of intimate partner violence, especially among women regardless of race or background age. Therefore the systematic review allowed us to know and contextualize more about this subject for its comprehension and future studies.
