The information that was captured in this research was obtained through educational articles, journals, theses, educational projects and monographs on the subject to be investigated, in order to identify the coping strategies of caregivers of people diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in the In the city of Villavicencio, according to this, the main caregivers are usually their parents or a relative, who must face the various changes that occur during the disease process, generating in themselves a change in their lifestyles, since that the caregiver is the one who assumes the responsibility of the person who cares and with this begin to make the best decisions for their well-being, having to put aside their needs to meet those of the person to be cared for, obtaining consequences such as: loss from social relationships, self-neglect, stress, anxiety, worry, depression, and even feeling unsupported.
