The solidarity economy seeks to publicize a new approach based on the double condition, which addresses the economic and social aspect; a socio-economic, cultural and environmental system that dictates a dynamic of reciprocity and solidarity that reconciles individual and collective interests for a decent life. In this sense, the present study aims to analyze how the solidarity economy works to reduce poverty levels in Colombia. The type of research was documentary with a non-experimental and transectional or cross-sectional design, based on the collection of books and documents that affect having clear ideas of what was mentioned by the different authors on the subject to be treated. The development of the project analyzes the solidarity economy from a social perspective, obtaining results that will be of great help to generate changes in the country.
