Los Colores is a small neighborhood located on the left bank of the Sinú river, relatively new in relation to the rest of the city of Monteria, where the store El Paraíso was born as an opportunity to the shortage of groceries and consumer goods found in this neighborhood. The objective of this research was to determine the characteristics within the framework of inventory systems management. This objective is intended to be answered through a triangulation analysis of data obtained through both primary sources such as interview and secondary sources such as documentation and research literature. Then the impact factors determined by the existing inventory systems were examined, and their adjustment to the data and the environment in which the store operates, identifying the consequences of such applications. The results obtained allowed to suggest a series of decisions and suggestions regarding the implementation of the correct application strategies in the inventory system, as well as its current ideal system. Thus, the results of the research were able to demonstrate the erroneous perception that the store has about its effectiveness in inventory management, and all the elements that affect its development.
