For the creation of this proposal for a zoo in the city of Ibague, several phases were made, namely: 1) Determine the possible location, considering a suitable land that allows the possession of animals in welfare conditions and the transit of tourists in activities of recreation, in such a way that it has all the areas within the framework of biosafety and current regulations. 2) Carry out a market study, which should have possible related competitors, tourism in the city, and interests of the population, also including the estimated costs for the purchase of materials and supplies for the construction and maintenance of this center, thus finding, the viability in the project and a full recovery of investment after three (3) years. 3) Obtaining animals, based on Resolution 2064 of 2010 that dates in article 17 "Of the Final Disposition of Wild Fauna in Zoos" indicating that the environmental authority may order that those specimens that cannot be released o disposal of CAVR care, assessment and rehabilitation centers o final disposal in zoos for commercial, scientific or repopulation or subsistence purposes, will be delivered to legally established zoos, so this proposal becomes an alternative who does not have a record in the city of Ibagué. The estimated budget for this proposal has all the requirements that may be needed to carry out its training, taking into account everything from an office design to implementation for workers, and it was estimated at Four Hundred Fifteen Million One Hundred Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Eight COP ($415,108,888).
