Ibagué has suffered greatly from the effects of the world economic crisis derived from the Covid- 19 pandemic, a situation that has manifested itself notoriously in the increase in the unemployment rate in the city. Considering this situation of a structural nature (which affects large sectors of Ibaguereña society both in the economic and social fields) and taking as a starting point the professional practice to opt for the title of business administrator, this document analyzes the public policy in terms of employment promotion developed by the Municipal Mayor's Office of Ibagué, providing a differential approach perspective for youth and proposing a reading from business administration that analyzes both the effects in public administration and in the private sphere.
