In this paper, a business intelligence model supported by new information technologies for decision making in health and social policies of the country is implemented. This model is based on statistical information on births and deaths occurring in the country and published by the DANE, as well as the use of the SMOreg statistical model for the future prediction of data. The final product will be the integration of technologies that allow the treatment, storage, analysis and visualization of vital statistics. This integration of computational tools will allow the consultation of data in a Dashboard (control panel) developed in the platform of Pentaho BI Server. The information system developed will generate alerts of births and deaths through the use of control panels in such a way that strategies and actions can be carried out to improve the coverage of vital events prior to the definitive publication of statistics and taking of decisions in health policies. It will also contribute to improving some of the problems faced by vital statistics in Colombia, the under-registration of births and deaths.
