The numerical measures of summary data, in this part of the course Descriptive Statistics where it is assumed that they work with a sample, are called statistics. Statistics can be centrally located measures, measures of trend central or centralization; to appear in any other location, position measures or location; to measure variability in the data that make up the series, measures of dispersion or variation; and to identify how they gather, the behavior, distribution, and acuity of the data, form measurements. The calculation of the statistics or measures that summarize the data in a single value, should be seen from the aspect of whether the data is in the form of Ungrouped Data or Data Grouped.
