Standard operating procedures of a product or service is part of quality management system and provides confidence not only to the organization, but also to its clients, to get the results that contain the requirements in a consistent manner and a frame of reference for continuous improvement. In the development of graduation modality, it was made the follow up of the consultations presented in the extern consultation attended by Christiane Irina Soto Alvarado DVM, internal medicine and endocrinology of small animals specialist. The patient assistance begins when it enters to the consulting room to make the signalment and, given the endocrinopathies nature, continues the follow up throughtout its life. As a result, it was obtained the Manual of Approach to the Main Canine Endocrinopathies that establishes the way to approach the different metabolic alterations affecting dogs frequently, describes the most common signs of those pathologies, analyzes the available tests for the clinician and its interpretation, and, finally, portrays the actual treatments for every disease. The documentation allows to the future students, interns and clinicians to make a sistematic diagnostic process to facilitate the work performance, maximizes the likelihood of right diagnostics and successful treatments, minimizes to spend money and time needlessly, and, consequently, prevents economic losses while makes the proper management of the endocrine patient.
