The reasons that lead to investigating inventory shortages are defined as an improvement in the control process and audits of neighborhood pharmacies, cities and countries, since it has been evident in small drug dispensing establishments that have little control in the use of expiration dates of medicines, excessive inventory or shortages of the same in which a law is already established in Colombia that reflects the impact and performance in the health system (Escandón Barbosaa et al., 2016). During the pandemic, a large margin of medications was identified that several users constantly requested and given that throughout the period that the pandemic spread, many of these neighborhood pharmacies were forced to lose sales, and the variation in prices could also be observed. excessive in certain items such as masks at the time, thinking about the monetary resources of the citizen and the medicine dispenser without losing sales, we thought about the development of a software that indicated with parameters how often I should take inventory before reaching my status is zero, without losses or excess inventory and indicates the stock that the pharmacy must have to prevent additional shortages, this will generate alarms in order to prevent the expiration date and thus make good use of its logistics and inventory, As well as, it serves as a basis for the peaks that occurred in the face of COVID-19 for upcoming demands for medicines according to the percentage of Venezuelans extracted in Colombia, Peru and other countries (Zambrano Barragán, et al., 2021). We will understand the great benefit for neighborhood drugstores, since many of them usually close because they do not have the knowledge to avoid generating losses. Many of these keep their sales in notebooks or notes without having a future perspective of the benefits or what they are against. They also plan to have supplies without having to take out or throw away expired medications. This helps it to be prolonged and grow in the future as evidenced in a study where the evolution of medicines at a global level will evolve over time (Schneider, 2019).
