The authors of this paper realized the ‘Social and Solidarity Practice’ component required by the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (Ibagué-Espinal HQ), as a prerequisite for obtaining the Academic Degree in Civil Engineering. This work, realized in the city of Ibagué-Tolima, consisted on the preparation of a technical support document for the sectorization of aqueduct networks in the influence area of the IBAL S.A. company. We established a set of tasks in this area, such as: Measurements of the damages reported in the intervened districts, in which the necessary accessories and their respective volumes were calculated. After that, we elaborated budgets for the replacement of pipes in the areas that reported the greatest number of failures by sector; in such a way that it could be elaborated, with support of the company CONTELAC, the necessary budget for the execution of the hydraulic sectorization of the 11 districts. Finally, we choose a district that could be taken as a pilot test in the city of Ibagué-Tolima.
