Cancer is a disease in which cells in the body multiply and divide uncontrollably and faster than normal, causing tumors that have the ability to infiltrate and destroy normal body tissue. Cancer often has the ability to spread throughout the body, causing the death of the person who has it. Being diagnosed with cancer can affect the emotional health of the patient, family and caregivers, as the most common feelings that occur during this experience include anxiety, depression and anguish. This research proposal aims to design a psychological first aid protocol aimed at families of cancer patients, using a qualitative descriptive approach and through a phenomenological design.
