The purpose of this project was to evaluate and diagnose the performance of the local area network of the company CONEXIONES EMPRESARIALES SA located in the city of Bogotá. The project was carried out for an average time of seventy-five (75) days. The methodology that was used to carry out the evaluation of the network, was the proposal of cisco corporation called PPDIOO (PREPARE, PLAN, DESIGN, IMPLEMENT, OPERATE AND OPTIMIZE) and which only worked on the preparation and planning phases evaluating the following aspects: hardware, software, connectivity and users. Finally, the recommendations were defined in order to improve the performance of the network, focused on supporting the proposed system in a safe and sufficient way, according to the client's requirements. This project seeks to carry out an evaluation and diagnosis of performance problems that are found in the company's business connections sa in the city of Bogota. In this project we will demonstrate the tools used for the evaluation according to the cisco incorporation regulations in the PPDIOO methodology, to optimize the existing network.
