The following paper presents an investigation of the presence of burnout syndrome in the administrative staff that works at the Cooperative University of Colombia on the Villavicencio campus. This Syndrome is considered a disease that affects thousands of people worldwide due to work overload, it is typified in the international classification of diseases (ICD 11) as a psychological disorder, it is also known as the associated burnout syndrome Due to physical, emotional and mental exhaustion, the most characteristic signs and symptoms of this pathology are headache, muscle contractures, frustration when carrying out work activities and lack of energy during the day, resulting in Anxiety, Depression and stress. According to sources from DANE, Colombia has twenty-two million workers, between 20% and 30% of whom report job stress and, according to the WHO, it is the twelfth cause of mortality worldwide. Due to its incidence in recent years, it is intended to identify if there is a presence of the syndrome in the administrative workers of the Ucc. For this, the instrument called Maslach Burnout Inventory will be used and the research will be carried out under a quantitative descriptive observational cross-sectional approach. Likewise, it seeks to emphasize the perception and knowledge that collaborators have about this syndrome.
