This review article results from a research process aimed at the theoretical review of the concept of active citizenship, the role of the school in citizen training and inclusion as an irrefutable method for social participation in all Areas. It was oriented under the guidelines of the hermeneutical research and the method of documentary review, from which specialized databases were consulted, which show theoretical tendencies on the object of study, showing as a result, an evident Exclusion of minority groups, and in turn, their empowerment with a sense of belonging to achieve decent social participation.
