Thanks to the opportunity gained from working in the epartment of animal production center of tropical research in bubalinos faculty of veterinary medicine and zootecnia of the paulista state uneversity (campus of botucatu) in which is carried out a project directed to the buffalo species, which is named nutrition requirement, food behavior, animal temperament, food efficiency, metabolic parameters, carcass and beef quality of bubbles in tropical conditions which is done in areas of Centro de Pesquisa Tropical em Bufalinos(CPTB). Whose general project has a duration of eight years which has been working four years, the theme focuses on the study of different nutritional factors of this species, such as qualities of buffalo meat under tropical conditions, food efficiency, metabolic parameters , alimentary behavior, animal temperament and nutritional requirements. To obtain these results, different procedures are carried out both in the field and in the laboratory, using techniques and different nutritional tests with specialized technological aids The activities carried out as a research assistant in this project were divided, in field work carried out in the Edgardia Hacienda and in the Commercial Frigorifico (Fribordogue), while the laboratory work was carried out in the UNESP laboratory of agricultural products. Animal origin (TPO A), fulfilling a schedule of activities proposed by Professor Andre Mendes Jorge, general director of the project. In the Hacienda Edgardía, the following activities were developed such as: animal feed, calf suckling, weighing of males, maintenance of facilities, records, herd management, preparation of the diet, vaccination In the laboratory, sample techniques were developed such as: Kjeldahl-micro technique, Etero tratum technique (fat), Ash-Moisture In the Fribordogue refrigerator the ruminal content was collected and in the laboratory the digestibility technique of stomach contents in artificial rumen. Once the results of the samples were obtained, they were taken to the software to attach them to the samples of this year and so to compare them once the program ends, to be analyzed to obtain information characteristic of this species.
