The purpose of this study was to characterize the safety culture of the patient in the area of Surgery of the Clinic La Milagrosa of Santa Marta based on the instructional packages of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection called Good Practices for Patient Safety in Care in Health. As a tool to collect the information and used the survey "Hospital Surveyon Patient Safety Culture" sponsored by the Medical Errors Workgroup of the Quality Interagency Coordination Task Force (QUIC) which allows to establish, from twelve dimensions, the safety culture they have the health professionals of the Clinic in the Surgery. The result was that there is a good practice with aspects to improve, such as the hiring of sufficient staff for the area.
