Marquitec SAS is a company that is dedicated to the import of slabs and the manufacture of marble and granite countertops. This company has three offices, one in Panama, Cúcuta and Bogotá. The Bogotá headquarters currently has 7 workers, and they are distributed as follows: Five are part of the administrative area and two are part of the operational area. The company Marquitec SAS knows of the risks that its workers may have when carrying out their work activities as expressed, which is why for its management it delivers PPE to its collaborators, carries out entrance exams, and affiliations to EPS and ARL. OSH priorities will be determined during the initial system review in order to create the annual work programme. During this procedure, the insecurities present were discovered and completed in the diagnosis and risk assessment. It was observed that employees perform tasks related to production without benefiting from a formal model of health and safety at work, which is an issue that must be resolved, in accordance with the provisions of Article 2.2.4.6.8. . (Work D. 1., 2023) The employer is responsible for defining, approving and communicating the (SST) policy, as well as guaranteeing the safety of workers and compliance with the rules, according to article 2.2.4.6.10 (Work D. 1., 2023) are committed to promoting health stewardship. For all of the above, the problem lies in the lack of knowledge of the (SGSST) standard by employees who do not make appropriate use of the PPE provided by the company, such as: Weight lifting belts which must be used when handling the plates since this practice can lead to hernias or injuries, protective gloves that are used to maneuver the plates, polishers and cutting machines and thus avoid suffering cuts ( in hands, wrists, arms and forearms). Inappropriate use of chemical products which are NOT properly identified, lack of documentation where work accidents are reported, establishment signage, safety system training, where employees acquire knowledge of the standard. All of these unethical actions put the safety of workers at risk, while having repercussions on the company. Under OSH regulations, this could lead to reduced productivity due to worker absences caused by accidents, as well as fines and penalties for non-compliance. A photographic record is made to identify risks in order to reduce accidents and occupational diseases in the company Marquitec SAS based on the ISO 45001 standard of 2018 decree 1072 2015. This record will serve to design a suggestion for a “Safety and health at work” where the company's risks are identified.
