Health personnel are exposed to different stressors due to excessive workload, the exposures to the risks that it presents in the services and the ineffective communication. These factors negatively influence the health of these individuals, also generating discomfort which physiologically causes damage to our body producing a series of substances harmful to our body these reactions tend to affect the most susceptible as they are: the brain, heart, lung and liver. This study seeks to identify the relationship between the level of stress and the cardiovascular risk presented by the health personnel of two health institutions in the department of Meta. For this, a study bivariate correlational, analytical, where the two instruments will be applied to the participants, which are: the perceived stress scale and the “know your risk” calculator. According to results of the second national survey of safety and health conditions at work in Colombia, showed a high prevalence of stress, 27.7% of the population of Latin America has suffered or suffers from cardiovascular diseases.
