The nutritional habits of human beings are part of their lifestyle. Every day there is more evidence that supports that certain foods affect the response of tissues to orthodontic treatment. The objective of this literature review is to analyze how different foods and nutritional supplements influence orthodontic dental movement, such as turmeric, caffeine, cocoa, carbonated drinks, black pepper, probiotics, omega 3 and vitamin. C; informing the orthodontist so that he can provide guidance to his patients and optimize the physiological response to treatment
