This study was carried out in order for the civil engineering student of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia to be trained as a professional in all disciplines of engineering, especially by applying the knowledge acquired in the fields of geotechnology and roads. Similarly, this study was carried out with the purpose of presenting solutions from the geotechnical engineering for the study of the area located in the municipality of Abejorral, Antioquia and which aims at the construction of a tertiary road leading to a condominium in the rural area of the municipality, taking into account the restrictions presented by the characteristics of the soil found, the geomorphology of the sector, presence of infiltration waters and analysis of the results of the tests carried out on the study area. This study is part of the input required for the design of the civil works projected in the studied terrain. For its development, the students of civil engineering of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia carried out a specific investigation in the area of the project and with this study, the objective is the development of technical solutions in favor of the stability of the banking sector, as well as the stability of the slopes that are located next to the track.
