In Colombia, the construction of informal settlements is a problem that directly affects the seismic vulnerability of homes and the safety of the population that inhabits them. With this research, it is sought to propose structural reinforcement solutions to an informal dwelling in the city of Medellín - Colombia, using the Seismic Evaluation and Reinforcement Manual for the Reduction of Vulnerability in Housing, in order to propose structural reinforcement actions that allow to reduce the vulnerability to which informal housing is exposed. The implementation of the Build Change Manual in this project, has the purpose of studying the alternatives of structural reinforcement that can be carried out with the use of this new manual, reducing in cost and time the elaboration of said actions that seek to solve structural problems. present in an informal dwelling; since the regulations that govern earthquake-resistant construction in Colombia do not propose structural reinforcement solutions for already built homes.
