One of the most relevant infectious diseases in birds is Newcastle disease, this condition occurs in both poultry and wild birds. In some Latin American countries such as: Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Mexico, where the disease is endemic, the greatest strategies are used in terms of diagnosis and prevention of the disease. The purpose of this work was to analyze the alternatives for the prevention of Newcastle disease and the diagnostic tests used in some Latin American countries.
