This study is focused on the analysis of the process of management and control of IT assets in the company Corbeta S. A. Bogotá (Colombia), according to the ITIL 4 methodology item 5.2.6 "IT ASSET MANAGEMENT" which systematically describes a set of practices that optimize the management of technological assets and ensure their traceability. The information was collected from observation techniques and document analysis (literature review) since this is a qualitative research. In conclusion, in the case of the company Corbeta S.A., the IT asset management practices (ITAM) were not fully implemented, since in some stages the traceability of the technological asset is lost, resulting in losses and inconsistencies in the databases.
