The purpose of this research is to discover the different existing solutions for odoriferous contamination resulting from wastewater treatment through the construction of civil infrastructure. The creation of hydrogen sulfide in the decomposition of wastewater is the main generator of odorous pollution, this is due to poor treatment of wastewater. Fundamental concepts were defined to understand the problem of odoriferous contamination such as sepsis, types of sewers, wastewater, then a systematic review of the literature was carried out, establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria to delimit the works found. The results found refer to three systems to combat bad odors: 1. Eco-sanitation sewage, 2. Comprehensive septic systems and 3. WWTP implementation. It was concluded that each system has its own peculiarities, however, most of the solutions are framed within the aerobic and anaerobic systems. The choice of the system is strictly linked to the situational conditions of the place, population, size of the flow and economic capacity of the place.
