This project proposes the consolidation of a business plan for the creation of a company focused on the production and marketing of synthetic gravel made from recycled plastics in the city of Villavicencio as a substitute for natural gravel extracted from water bodies. Everything lies in starting with obtaining the plastic material with recycling companies or people in the city, selecting it and then transforming it into grains of a specific size and in this way creating an innovative product that works in the construction sector. The raw materials used for the manufacture of synthetic gravel are products obtained from the development of recycling, which represents a decrease in costs compared to traditional materials used in construction, on the other hand, plastic wood requires less maintenance due to Its physicochemical characteristics would not be affected by humidity, fire and biological agents, making this product more efficient in more hostile environments. Plastic wood as an element for construction is presented as an innovative material in the development of civil works, displacing reinforced concrete as the main raw material for the construction of various civil engineering projects and making the construction sector part of a circular economy model, generating wealth from materials that previously had already done so. This is why the construction sector stands out as the leading sector, contributing 12.7% of GDP (a figure obtained by DANE in 2014), above others such as the financial sector, commerce, public services, transportation, etc; but within the construction sector, different markets are identified, such as hotel, industrial, commercial, office projects, but the most outstanding being housing projects, contributing 74% of the 4.4 million meters built in 2014 (MINEDUCACION, 2019).
