The results of an investigation approached from a qualitative approach are presented, with a non-experimental transactional design, with the student population and university administrators, oriented towards the detection of possible barriers that may arise in the implementation of the GBV prevention route and at the Cooperative University of Colombia Popayán campus. The specific objectives were: Characterize the institutional procedures established by the campus directives for the implementation of the routes, Systematize the perceptions of students about gender-based violence in the university context and Generate recommendations for the strengthening of the route of prevention of gender-based violence. in gender and sexual at the University in 2023. Insufficiency in the implementation of institutional procedures for the prevention of GBV was identified and ignorance, lack of interest and the normalization of GBV were detected as the main barriers to the implementation of the route.
