Defined corporate management in a solidarity organization reinforces the structure of its administrative and control mechanisms. It applies behavioral standards among its members. It creates value, enhances, and preserves it in times of social and economic difficulties. The purpose of this paper is to identify the solidarity organizations in the District of Barrancabermeja that include the code of good governance in their internal policies and then determine the good practices that contribute to their sustainability. The selection of the entities is based on data from the Barrancabermeja Chamber of Commerce and the Superintendence of Solidarity. Questionnaires and surveys applied to go deeper into adopting the guidelines for good governance to gather information on training, perception, and complementary programs focused on the achievement of corporate purposes. The findings in the survey showed that 31% of the solidarity organizations that implemented the code of good governance are moving towards a stable economic future, adjusting to global dynamics, making the required changes in their plans to sustain themselves and remain competitive. As a result, 69% of the District's entities have not adopted or are unaware of the guidelines for corporate governance. Affecting the main advantage, which is to generate trust in the associates and increase their participation in decision-making and monitoring of administrative, operational, and financial management, seeking the permanence of the organization, for which an internal policy model presented.
