This research presents some theoretical conceptions, challenges and features from the directive management in the so-called German Schools abroad and specifically, addresses the study case the German Schools of Medellín. Thinking about a German School abroad, leads to assume the knowledge and the innovation as arrival points and expansion on the teaching director work inside the educative institution. This work actually has as goal to understand the directive management of the German School of Medellin conceptions about the directive management. The research development set out from a documentary and data analysis get through a semi structured interview applied to 20 people belong to the institution and with directive role or function. Therefore, it was assumed a qualitative research with a comprehensive approach and as research type the study case. It's concluded that the directive role it's assumed not only from the normative but from pedagogical transformation through of directive actions with standard and specific guidelines that boost the innovation and the knowledge.
