This paper aims to analyze the contribution of the Corporative University to generate competitive advantages in Colombian organizations, based on the approach to the state of art, to the concept “Corporative University” and contextualizing it in the Colombian organizational world. Besides, it presents the learned lessons, which during the implementation process, have been presented in those organizations where such a proposal exists; and the principal benefits and its impact on the business results. This paper focuses on research reports, experiences and learning capitalized by experts on this field. Who have participated in academic development and implementation of Corporate Universities in the organizational world. The final results of the research showed that Corporative University is considered in the current organizational field, as a platform of creation, inclusion and transference of knowledge that when aligned with a business strategy, enables in the human resource, the development of the competences and abilities needed in the present and in the future of the company, changing into the different element which will lead it to the improvement and everlasting.
