Introduction: The sense of coherence (SOC), is born from the salutogenic theory and is understood as the internal strength and the ability that a person possesses to face different moments of life, it is composed of three fundamental elements: manageability, significance, and understandability. Objective: To estimate and classify the SOC level of medical students at a Colombian university by applying the SOC 13 scale. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study. Results: Most of the students are in the medium level of SOC, men present better percentages in the high levels of SOC, and there is a low percentage of students who work and present medium and high levels of SOC.
