The present work aims to design a methodological guide that allows Colombian MSMEs to transform themselves into Benefit and Collective Interest Companies (BIC). The guide consists of a self-managed diagnostic instrument (IA) and a self-help manual (MA) for its implementation. Subsequently, the MA is validated in a Colombian MSME. The criteria for BIC companies in Colombia, B companies, and organizational performance criteria were considered for the implementation of the IA. For the MA, 35 tools from different international standards such as ISO standards and B company were adapted. Finally, for its verification stage, aspects such as relevance, ease of use, and understanding were validated, which allowed for the identification and application of improvement opportunities to the manual.
