This degree project is the result of a research work carried out at the 2 Canoas headquarters of the Restrepo educational institution, in the municipality of Policarpa, Nariño, with a group of students who are in the first, second and third grades of primary school. In response to communication difficulties. The geographical distance between the school, homes and parents' workplaces, together with the long working hours in the countryside, makes interaction between parents and teachers in rural schools difficult. To solve this problem, Moodle was implemented as a hybrid teaching channel. This allowed academic information to be sent to parents, who could support their children's learning from home in a virtual and flexible way. Later, they could forward the activities to the teacher for classroom evaluation. During five weeks of intervention, three pedagogical strategies were applied in which parents reviewed the material at home to reinforce academic activities. Regarding the methodology, a qualitative approach was taken with the Design Thinking method, complying with its phases: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test and evaluate to design the strategies. In addition, observation, semi-structured surveys, questionnaires and other instruments were used to monitor the development of activities by students with the intervention of parents. The Moodle platform is considered an effective tool to improve communication and learning in rural and remote contexts.
