This paper proposes a definition of “pedagogical ro-botics” by tracing the origins of robotics and a reflection on its potential applicability to education. Thus, a start-ing point is created in discussion about possibilities to integration of robots as teaching and pedagogical support in classrooms where these programmable mechanical de-vices become elements of support for teachers and devel-oping strategies in order to achieve a meaningful learning in students, through fulfillment of specific educational aims.
